This policy explains what information The Edge Board ("we," "us," "our") collects when you use theedgeboard.com (the "Site"), how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
Account information. When you register, we collect your email address and a hashed password via our authentication provider (Supabase). We never see or store your password in plain text.
Usage data. We may collect basic technical data - pages viewed, browser type, and approximate location from IP address - to understand how the Site is used and to keep it running reliably.
Local preferences. We store a light/dark theme preference in your browser's local storage. This never leaves your device.
We do not collect payment information directly. If paid subscriptions are introduced in the future, payment processing will be handled entirely by a third-party payment processor, and we will not store your card details.
2. How we use information
We use the information above to operate and maintain the Site, authenticate your account, communicate with you about your account (such as email confirmation), diagnose technical problems, and improve the models and boards we offer.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. Third-party services
The Site relies on third-party infrastructure to operate, including Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), and sportsbook / sports-data providers (for market lines and game statistics displayed on the Site). Each of these providers processes data under its own privacy policy.
4. Cookies and similar technology
We use essential cookies and browser storage required for authentication sessions and theme preference. We do not currently use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
5. Data retention
We retain account information for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time using the contact information below.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
7. Children's privacy
The Site is intended for users 21 years of age or older and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
